One day in May is an installation collaboration with composer and violinist Alex Balanescu, highlighting the sculptural and visceral beauty of the mayfly. Her movements are choreographed into a dance that explores her short life. Her death comes in the form of a spider that descends his web to devour her, leaving only a shell of the carcass to be rocked by the night's breeze, gentle and quiet before a summer storm descends.
