Biography

Mohamed Kassaby is an award winning Egyptian filmmaker, writer, and visual artist who wanders the unmarked territory between fiction stories and documentary. Kassaby produced and directed his second semi fictionalized short “That’s What Happened” which he considers an attempt in filming a poetic portrait of his hometown, Alexandria. The film has received international recognition, having over twenty official selections worldwide, including Best Cinematography Award in New York Cinematography Awards.
