N.B. Film comes with 7-1/2 i. p. s. stereo 1/2 track tape (will produce on 1/4 track machines). If tape playback is impossible, film has mono optical sound-track. The film is normal static projection form, derived from a film-environment piece described as follows: PONG PING PONG has been described to reveal the circular and reciprocating nature of the film medium, and to activate the space between projector and projection. The film is projected from a special turn table which moves the entire image back and forth and slowly around 360 degrees. The images is projected onto a 24-4 ft. by 8 ft. cardboard screens placed in a circle around the projector. The circle has a diameter of 40 ft. Each screen is a triangular prism, white on one side and black on the other two. The screens are placed one foot apart allowing people and projection beam to move inside and outside the circle. The subject of the film is a ping pong game. The camera mounted on the turn-table machine, swings back and forth while the entire mechanism is slowly pushed around and around the table. The piece has a duration of 25 minutes and is accompanied by a stereo sound track. (For a presentation of the complete environmental piece, arrangements can be made directly with the film-maker.)
