"Open 7 Days a Week, 24 Hours a Day" is a 15-minute Super-8 color and BW sound film A VIDEO HISTORY TAPE: Shot in CV-1/2” Open Reel Video in 1968, the absurdist and tongue-in-cheek often inadvertently anti-PC filmmaker, Bill Creston (b. NYC, 1932), takes his equipment and his friend, the artist Carl Methfessel, to the Jersey Meadows to improvise with the trash they find there. Creston, who always plays some sort of desperate, befuddled character in all his auteur Super-8 and video works, stumbles upon some mismatched crutches, thereby somewhat crippling himself by using them, and falls upon an abandoned automobile seating unit, which dumps him over.
