Biography

Alex Faoro is a Brooklyn based teacher, programmer and moving image maker. His films employ the use of super 8mm, and deal primarily with concepts of absurdism, mortality and decay. His work has been exhibited internationally at festivals, galleries and small cinemas including Anthology Film Archives, Spectacle Theater, CineAutopsia: Bogota Experimental Film Festival, Istanbul International Experimental Film Festival, Detour Gallery, FEDAXV, London Experimental Film Festival and Family Film Project. In addition to screening his own work, Alex directs and programs a small theater space - Al’s Cinematheque - where he shows a variety of domestic and foreign avant-garde films.
