Biography

Jonathan Johnson is a photographer and filmmaker whose work explores ideas about place, identity and nature. He has received awards and grants from Duke University, The Society for Photographic Education, CINECAFEST, The National Endowment for the Humanities, Puffin West Foundation, Greater Columbus Arts Council and The Ann Arbor Film Festival. Johnson has participated in residencies in Costa Rica, Scotland, Iceland and Sweden.  His work has been shown at film festivals and galleries in over 30 countries.
