Biography

Lopex shoots exclusively on celluloid film. In collaboration with Kodak Film and FotoKem, Lopex established the Transborder Film Fellowship to produce narrative films by new filmmakers in the US/Mexico Transborder region. Lopex is Council Advisor for the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts at University of California San Diego. Screenings at Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Big Muddy, San Diego Underground, and Harkat 16mm Film festivals. Recipient of grants from American Artists, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and the Avery-Tsui Foundation.
