Biography
Peter von Ziegesar is a writer and filmmaker whose film works are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art. His films run the gamut from personal essays to pure color abstraction and surreal diary-dreamscapes. He participated in the East Village art scene of the late seventies and early eighties and showed films in the famous 1980 Times Square Show, as well as many other art venues and galleries. His memoir, The Looking Glass Brother was published by Picador in 2014, and he has also contributed essays to Art in America and the New York Times, among other publications.
