About
You are about to see a movie about recording an album that is not a movie about music. You are about to see an inexperienced band, an inconsequential band with a giant mission and an intractable momentum. You are about to see a band for the first time in a studio, about to see a group of friends on a honeymoon, at the beginning of everything, before starting the road to their dissolution. In the meantime, they entrust everything to their endurance, to the undefined goal, to the total lack of responsibility, to enthusiasm.
They recorded seventeen songs in forty-eight hours. None of these recordings were released, but none of this is mentioned in the next hour. In fact, it is barely spoken. For very little, this documentary tells a story: the only thread that runs through all the images are the rising heat, the cramps and the exhaustion. Stripped of connotations, direction and meaning, the images nevertheless uncover something. A bit like life, which is much emptier than fiction.
