“I always have been attracted to images: not as they are meant to represent the world, as documents; not as observations; and not as they prove the reality of a single moment. Rather, I am most interested in the image being a mirror of an illusion and a projection of personal experience, thinking and expression. I like to work with images as a material and to reconstruct them. I use them in a new setting to understand the meaning of things, perhaps the meaning of understanding itself. There are so many realities around us and I am curious about their concepts and ideas beyond.”
