Biography

Born in 2006 in Zhezkazgan, I work in avant-garde cinema, inspired by Stan Brakhage, Johan Johansson, Raúl Ruiz, and the late films of Jean-Luc Godard. My work combines personal memories, archive public domain footage, and digital abstractions into a maximalist stream of consciousness, exploring the digital era through dreams, the collective and personal unconscious, and cultural-historical imaginaries. I have worked as a film critic, with several publications; my film «Night Flight» was screened at the NOMSIZ Film Festival in Tashkent, and my film «Recollections» was shown in a public screening as part of a course on creating personal documentary cinema at Sony Center in Almaty.
