Biography
Jackie Raynal (born 1940) is French director, actress, and film editor. Already a photographer, she began working in cinema in the early sixties as an editor, becoming a prominent editor of the French New Wave. In 1968, she became one of the founders of the Zanzibar group. She moved to New York and between 1975 and 1992 worked as a programmer at Carnegie Hall Cinema and Bleeker Street Cinema. In 2000, she began directing documentaries like Notes on Jonas Mekas (2000) and Eric Rohmer, the Film Maker (2010).
