Biography
Teresa Puppo is a filmmaker from Montevideo, Uruguay. She has exhibited work in Uruguay, Argentina, France, Cuba, and Peru.
Her artistic practice critically entangles results of her research lines via multimedia productions. Her work opens study through an invitation to unveil and reconstruct through rereading. In 2005 she published her first short novel (or long story): Santa Clara (A Dark Space) through Editorial ARTEFATO in Uruguay. In 2008 she was awarded the First Mention in Narrative in the Annual Literature Contest in Municipal Intendance of Montevideo Uruguay. She has also been awarded the 56th Annual Jose Gamalla National Visual Arts Award.
She is a member of Laboratorio de Cine FAC.
