Make a short experimental collage film. In this workshop provided by Tessa Hughes-Freeland, we will explore a variety of methods and techniques involved in creating found footage and collage films. A variety of film examples will be shown to demonstrate the range of conceptual and technical skills applied. Participants will have hands-on experience in creating handmade slides, which will become part of a short collage film made in the workshop. Participants will be provided with materials to make the slides & film with, and should bring a camera or handheld device capable of recording video. Hughes-Freeland has been working with expanded cinema, including collage, for many years. To see examples of her work go to http://www.tessahughesfreeland.com.
