Synopsis:
A metonymic representation of the non-chronological time. During the static long take of this video art-performance, a penis shrinks and becomes a being that submerges itself into a flow of continuous sounds and equates itself with it; the space and the time; the personal and the universal; the (whole) life and a (small) death.

Video Artist’s Note:
“thanatos” is, first of all, a study of time that uses two codes: a close-up to a penis (image) and an urban neighbourhood’s soundscape (sound). Their coexistence presents the homogeneity/similarity of two—seemingly heterogeneous—poles: part–whole, immobility–movement, stability–transposition, inactivity–activity, noise–silence, alienation–proximity, anhedonia–pleasure, life–death.
