"a surrealist nightmarish depiction of New York City's fiscal crisis of the 1970s.– when the City was teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. The film chronicles the journey of a Big Apple– a 6-foot piece of fruit. Along the way, Big Apple wanders onto the set of a TV game show, where it is forced to choose between prizes behind Door #1 and Door #2. Unfortunately, Big Apple's experience as a game show contestant is not fruitful, and our hero returns to the streets in pitiful condition."
