On this Day the Eternal Flame of the Chimera Burns Forever2003

I went to visit Ciralli which is a town very near Olympos in Turkey. In the sea at Ciralli, which is bath warm, at night when you go swimming you are covered with phosphorescent sea creatures which when you emerge from the sea makes appear to glow as if an angel. On the beach at night after a period of gestation, small turtles appear from the sand and travel down the mediterranean beach and then swim across the mediterranean, then across the Atlantic, swimming all the way to Peru. Coming from another direction people from Australia go to Bali, then travel across the ocean to then cross the land heading to Berlin then London - but in between is the town of Olympos complete with bedrooms in the trees (and you sleep after walking between Ciralli and Olympos through the forest in which there are amphitheatres and temples…) and at night if you walk to the nearby Taurus mountains a myth tells that the flames emanating from the mountainside are the breath of the nearby buried Chimaera, a monster with the head of a lion, the body of a goat and the tail of a snake, snorting out the breath of bright fire, which has been killed near this location by an ancient hero called Bellerophon or Bellerophontes some thousand years ago... But the flames and the experience are eternal.
