Summer Afternoon at Turtle Pond2021

On a hot, muggy afternoon in Central Park, I chanced upon two rambunctious boys fishing in Turtle Pond. They were fascinated by my Super 8 camera and excitedly presented their catches to me. Even though I was in the middle of New York City, I felt transported into a bygone era, where kids entertained themselves without phones and bystanders captured the moment on film. The nostalgic imagery is accompanied by a mesmerizing ambient electronic score, composed by Mike Crowley (aka m.cro)
