The dreamy, hypnotic, sun and sex-drenched "I, Scorpio" explores the homo-erotic relationship that develops between a Mexican hitchhiker and a drug dealer that meet on a desert road in 1974. Playing with cinematic conventions, melding genres from road movies, westerns and crime films, while using super-imposed imagery, solarized frames, filters, pixilation among other visual devices, a voice-over narration recalls myths about altered time and a quest for spiritual connection. A meditatively paced soft-core experience.
