A puppet-meets-drag-meets-burlesque-meets-cooking show extravaganza that looks like if John Waters, Jack Smith, and David Lynch hijacked a Fanny Cradock Christmas special, A Very Fleshlumps Christmas was first conceived and performed by Willow Giannotti-Garlinghouse (a.k.a. "Lucite") and Ray Dondero (a.k.a. "Lilith") in December 2023, and has since been performed on an annual basis in various venues around New York City during the holiday season.
Shot on Super 8mm Kodak stock, this film captures part of the rehearsal process and performance of the second staging of A Very Fleshlumps Christmas, which occurred at the Jalopy Theater & School of Music in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY, on December 12, 2024.
