About
A Few Spaces In Between is a film about how we think about natural phenomena, our relationship to the working place, production and payment, as well as concepts of control and border making. I made this film from educational material produced during the 1960s and 1970s, editing scenes from science films such as Where Does the Wind Come From?, Amoeba with Social Ambitions, or Skin, A Delicate Defense. These eductional narratives serve as metaphors to describe the invisible; they exemplify the ways we establish rules of performance in society, while illustrating the precariousness of stability, or what we take for granted. Topics such as development, production, manual labor, mobility and industry as well as how we deal with refuse are bound into a poetic flow of movement and shapes.
