Biography

Andrew Ranville is based in Calumet, Michigan, located at the northernmost peninsula of the state- the Keweenaw- surrounded by Lake Superior, the site where several of the films in the screening were created. In addition to his arts practice he works as the Director of the Rabbit Island Foundation, facilitating a remote island residency since 2011. Working internationally 2006-2016 from London, United Kingdom, Ranville's films survery landscapes and locales around the world. They have been screened at the Import Projects (Berlin), Impulsive Random Platform (London), Grizedale Forest, Microscope Gallery, and the Lausanne Underground Film and Music Festival. His artworks and installations have been exhibited internationally including the 4th Marrakech Biennale, the 5th  Moscow International Biennale of Young Art, and the 2017 Cycle Music and Art Festival in Iceland.
