The trilogy Study about movement explores the tensions that occur between figures, forms and color when summed together in layers, in an almost chancy way. The work tries to capture the vital and invisible forces, the pure movement, as the one present in a sensation.  I chose two main tools to work with: the overexposure of layers in the same negative film and the use of primary colors. Post war man is the third work done under these premises. In this case, the exploration has been about bodies in movement, about the forces that one makes towards the other, the friction between meat and bones, against a predominantly red background. During the shot of this short film I was reading “Logic of sensation” by Deleuze. This inspired me to work with male bodies in contact, may be in a wrestle, may be in a dance, mixed together with the emblematic painting "Three studies for figures at the base of a crucifixion" by Francis Bacon. I believe this work is still in progress since I would like to intervene it, by painting the film with a thick layer of paint that would partly cover the image below it.
