The search for proof of the filmmaker’s hypothesis is exhausted in a well organized delivery of the visual and audio data. The video answers the question “Do the ‘American’ traditions of the past continue to flourish in the contemporary Deep South?” The answer is a resounding “yes”. TV preaching, chitlin’ eating, pecan picking and rattlesnake handling are all captured in this documentary as proof the South of yesterday and today is likely to be the South of tomorrow.
